About Us

Michael Paul McLeod, M.D.


Dr. McLeod attended school in New England, and graduated from Tufts University in Massachusetts where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and was awarded for his Peer Leadership while obtaining a Liberal Arts education as an undergraduate.  He then graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine where he received the Best Clinical Research Award for his cutting-edge research on the epidemiology of endemic disease.  Following medical school, Dr. McLeod completed Residency Training at The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio where he was appointed Chief Resident. He then went on to complete additional specialized training in Pain Medicine at UTHSCSA in effort to better understand and navigate the complexities of chronic pain via the use of state of the art technology and cutting edge interventional techniques.  

Dr. McLeod is Double Board Certified in Both Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  Dr. McLeod has since made Texas his home and has had the pleasure of serving his patients in a variety of settings and via an assortment of experiences.  He has worked in private practice settings in both Corpus Christi, TX as well as in San Antonio, TX.  He has also had clinical as well as academic experience in a military medical setting as the Director of Complementary and Alternative Medicine in the Department of Pain Management at Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.

In 2016, Dr. McLeod was named a Top Pain Management Specialist in Texas by the International Association of HealthCare Professionals' Leading Physicians of the World organization.  Since then, he has been recognized by FindaTopDoc as a Top DoctorHealthgrades as having been worthy of Honor Roll Recognition, and Vitals  for the Compassionate Doctor Award, the On-Time Doctor's Award, as well as the Patients Choice Award.

Dr. McLeod enjoys attending church, spending time with his family and friends, and participating in athletic activities.
